Proud Canadian company
For the shops, diners and family businesses on main street
Great small businesses deserve to be found online.
We seek out small businesses that don't have a website yet, build them one, and then offer it to them. No pressure and no hard sell — just a real website, ready to go, if they want it. Have a business of your own? Just ask, and we'll build one for you.
Not every business wants a website, and that's okay. If the answer is no, we take it with no hard feelings.
How it works
We find. We build. We offer.
Plenty of wonderful small businesses still don't have a website. We'd like to help change that, together with the people who know them best, one storefront at a time.
-
1
We find
We look for small businesses — restaurants, cafés, shops and services — that don't have a website yet. Sometimes neighbours and regulars point us to them, too.
-
2
We build
We build a clean, mobile-friendly website made for that business: who they are, what they offer, their hours, and how to find them.
-
3
We offer
We show the owner what we've made, on our own web address, and offer it to them. If they'd like it, they buy their own domain name (web address), we help set it up, and we move the site onto it and look after it for them. If not, no hard feelings — nothing ever goes live under their name without their OK.
Our promise
- No strings attached. We build each site on our own time, with no expectation or pressure for the business to take it.
- It's ours until it's theirs. Every site we build belongs to MainStreetReady and is shown on our own web address first. Nothing is ever published under a business's name without their say-so.
- Their own name online. Their domain name (their web address) is bought by them and owned by them, in their name. They pay for it themselves, and we're happy to help set it up. Then we move the site onto it.
- Looked after, year after year. From then on, we host it and keep it up to date for them for a monthly hosting fee of $15, so they can get back to running their business. That includes nightly backups, updates like menus, hours and photos, help setting up a free Google Business listing, a monthly check-up and a short monthly visitor report.

Our customers
Neighbours on our main street.
Real small businesses that chose to make one of our sites their own. Unlike the samples above, these are the real thing.
Our first neighbours will appear here soon.
We're just getting started, and we're proud of that. When a small business decides to keep the site we built for them, you'll find them here.
Know a business that could use a hand? Why it matters for main street
When people search, small businesses should show up.
These days, a lot of people look a place up before they visit — checking hours, a menu, or directions on their phone. A business without a website can be easy to miss, even when it's a favourite with its regulars.
Many owners are simply too busy running the place to build one. That's where a little help from the community can go a long way.
- Hours & location

What they offer, in their own words. - One tap to call

Recommend a business
Know a small business that could use a hand?
Your favourite diner, the bakery down the street, the hardware store your family has used for years — if they don't have a website, tell us about them.
We'll look the business up, and if it's a good fit, we may build them a website and offer it to them — with no pressure at all.
You don't need to be the owner, and you don't need to leave your name. We'll never tell the business who recommended them unless you ask us to.
About us
We don't just sell websites, we help build businesses. We seek out small businesses that qualify, many of them recommended to us by neighbours and customers. Then we build them a low-cost, high-quality website, free to look at first. If it's a fit, wonderful. If not, no hard feelings. And if you have a business that needs a website, just ask us. We'll build one for you the same way. We're a proud Canadian team helping small businesses grow.
Our missionTo work with our community to help small businesses succeed — honestly, fairly, and never at the little guy's expense.
If you know a business we should look at, we'd love to hear from you.
