Our story

Flour, water, salt and time

Little Red’s Bakery started in 1987 as the pie shelf at Little Red’s Kitchen. Ruby Morrison’s butter tarts sold out so fast that in 2004 the family opened a proper bakery two doors down.

Our head baker, Luis, starts at 3 am. The sourdough starter is older than some of our staff, and every croissant is laminated by hand. We bake in small batches all day, so something is always coming out of the oven.

Questions, answered

How does pre-ordering work?

Add items here, pick a pickup window and your order will be boxed with your name on it. Pay when you pick up.

How far ahead can I order?

Right here, up to 7 days ahead: perfect for cakes, platters and big orders. For holiday pies, order by the Wednesday before.

What time is everything ready?

Breads and croissants are out by 7 am, cookies by 11. See our “fresh from the oven” times above.

Do you have vegan or gluten-free items?

Look for the “Vegan” tag. We aren’t a gluten-free bakery, as everything is made in the same kitchen with wheat flour.

Do you use nuts?

Yes, our kitchen uses peanuts and tree nuts, so we can’t promise any item is nut-free.

Can I order for a big event?

Yes. Trays of squares, cookies, tarts and cupcakes for offices, weddings and parties. Call or email us a week ahead if you can.

What happens to day-old bread?

Day-old loaves are half price after 2 pm, and the rest goes to the Anytown food bank.
